Troy Library Services and Collections During Renovation

Service Desks | Books and Journals Access | Study Space and Computers | Renovation Updates

During the renovation of the Troy Library, from the renovation's commencement in January 2013 through its planned completion in August 2013, the library will provide regular services. The main office will be located on the first floor of the Education Building. Please contact us with any questions.

Circulation and Reference Desk Relocation

Between January and August 2013, the library will provide the following services at its temporary location on the first floor of the Education Building (adjacent to Buchman Pavillion).

  • Reference

  • Circulation: Book Pick Ups, Returns, and Assistance

  • Reserve Desk

  • Collection Management Requests

Collections Relocation: Books and Journals Access

  • Requesting Books from Storage

    • Use "Place a Hold" Function in Libraries' Catalog to request a book (click here for short tutorial on placing holds):

      Login:             MySage Username
      Password:     MySage Password

    • We are planning twice-daily delivery between campuses, Monday-Friday. (There will be no weekend delivery, however, so books requested late on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will not arrive at the opposite campus until the following Monday morning.)

    • You will receive an email once requested materials are available. To ensure that you receive the email, when you place the hold, check the hold messaging option in your account profile in the Sage Koha system.

    • Books will be placed on the hold shelf of the campus you designate when placing the hold. You can place holds on books whether a book is in storage or the regular shelves. This service applies to all Sage Libraries' materials regardless of campus.

  • Requesting Journal Articles from Storage

Study Spaces and Workstations

  • Quiet Study Space

    • The temporary library space in the Education Building will be devoted to computer workstations. The college plans to provide additional locations for quiet study. An Alternate Study Space Page will be updated daily with information on what spaces are available.

    • The Alternate Study Space page will be active at the start of Spring 2013 semester.

  • Computer Workstations: Between January and August 2013: computers will be available in the temporary library on the first floor of the Education Building (adjacent to Buchman Pavillion).
