The Research Process

Library Instruction

Faculty members are encouraged to contact the librarians to discuss library instruction needs. There are many possibilities for library sessions, from quick tours to entire courses structured around library research.

Tours

Faculty members may request a specialized tour in which students would learn the general layout of the library and the locations of materials relevant to their discipline. To set up a tour, please contact the library liaison for your department.

Classes

The librarians of The Sage Colleges expect to train students to use the library effectively. In order to do this, we provide online self-guided tutorials, credit classes, and course-specific library instruction. One of the most effective means of teaching students to use the library is to provide instruction when the student has a class assignment where library research will be undertaken. Contact your library liaison for more information.
