Applications are being accepted for the 17th Annual Library Research Award!
In Spring 2022, the Russell Sage College Libraries will hold the 17th Annual Library Research Award competition.
Students interested in submitting research papers or projects for judging by a panel of Russell Sage College faculty should hand in their entries by 5pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2022..
Entries must demonstrate exceptional use of library resources and proper citations. Only papers or projects written for RSC courses taken during the Spring, Summer, or Fall 2021 semesters are eligible for this year’s award.
Four prizes of $200 each will be awarded to the best papers from two undergraduate and two graduate students.
The winning papers will exhibit the student’s ability to:
- Determine information needs for a specific paper or assignment
- Successfully use library resources in multiple formats (printed resources, databases, primary resources, and other media)
- Locate, select, evaluate, and synthesize information from library resources
- Use information responsibly by providing accurate citations or references
Remember: the deadline for submission of an entry is 5pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
