Quick Search/Summon Introduction
Quick Search is a single-box search tool that covers multiple library resources simultaneously, allowing you to find a wide variety of materials in a single search.  Quick Search is helpful when first starting your research, and for researching broad topics.
1 - Getting Started
To use Quick Search, navigate to the library home page and enter your search terms in the search box:
2 - Navigating the Search Results
When you click the search button, a list of records that match your search terms will appear.  The last line of each result shows what type of resource it is, such as a book,  e-book, journal,  journal article, video recording, etc.
3 - The Record Detail Page
Clicking on the title of a search result will bring you to the detail page for that record.
The appearance of a detail page will vary depending upon the type and origin of the resource. Note that for books the details page provides a permanent link to the record, a description, and a link to the citation information.
