How do I use Ulrich's?
If you need to know if a journal is scholarly or popular – or if it’s peer-reviewed (also called “refereed”), the library can help! Use Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory to give you a definitive answer.
Step 1:
Click on the “Databases” link beneath the Search Box on the library home page ( library.sage.edu ) and click the “Check Ulrich’s” link.
Step 2:
Type the title of the journal in the search box and hit the “search” button. Remember: put the JOURNAL title here, not the title of an article. To make your search more precise, you may select the “advanced search” option for more search choices.
Step 3:
Clicking on the journal title will bring you to the record page of the journal.  Here you can find more details about the journal, such as whether it’s a scholarly or popular publication, the format, the publisher, etc.
Step 4: .
